At the end of eviction after you enter the metro, you jump down into the water at the end of the train. There is a door to your left and a barrier in front of you with enemies just beyond it. I kill them and they respawn till I have no more ammo left. The last goal was Objective complete, regroup with your squad. They are in the water with me but the is no way out. The end of the trains that I jumped off of you can no long get back on, so I am stuck in this area. What next? I have tried almost everything I can think of, grenade the door, grenade the barrier, killing my squad, you name it. HELP PLEASE!

Never mind, must have been a glich. I redid the level and Resenov(spelling) was the one that opened the door. He was no where to be found last game. He must have died?

Here are the locations of the Death Cards. Scattered throughout select levels of the game are a deck of "Death Cards." Each of the 13 cards is stuck on helmets propped up on a rifle in the battlefield. Think of a makeshift grave and you get the idea.

Every Death Card unlocks a cheat that can be used to tweak settings in the new to the series multiplayer co-op mode. 13 cards means 13 cheats, each of which will impact gameplay in a different way.

1. Eight of Hearts at Semper Fi
Picking up this card is as easy as taking a right as soon as the game begins and checking out the small round hut. Your first Death Card is propped against the table inside.
Effect: Head shots turn into *exploding* head shots. Bam!

2. Four of Clubs at Little Resistance
You'll notice a truck in front of you as the level is wrapping up. To the right of the truck is a tunnel and at the end of the tunnel a large bunker. Look in the far right corner just outside the bunker, resting neatly in some brush, for your second card.
Effect: A reduction to the damage enemies take when bullets hit them.

3. King of Hearts at Hard Landing
A building must be traversed before completing this level that has two machine-gunners on its roof. Move slowly through it and keeping looking at areas to the left. A glowing lantern will lead you to your third card.
Effect: Exploding pistol ammunition becomes available when shot up to an inch within death.

4. Five of Diamonds at Vendetta
The first building in this level has a visible bar. As soon as access is granted to the bar area, go behind the counter and look for card number four in the corners.
Effect: Enemy weapons "die" when enemies do along with any valuable ammunition in them.

5. Joker at Their Land, Their Blood
You’ll face a tank that bursts through a barn door. Eliminate the tank then look in the stall to the right. The rotting cow corpses flank your fifth card.
Effect: Go it caveman-style with nothing but a knife and rocks.

6. Queen of Hearts at Burn 'Em Out
Mortar stations are a bitch, but taking them out is necessary for card number six. The second station is where its at, sitting in the corner of a back room.
Effect: Death to enemies increases your health, by gun or teeth. You want blood, and you can have it.

7. Nine of Diamonds at Relentless
It’s in the caves! Look for a fork in the path and once choosing either left or right, look towards the other side for an adjoining passage. The seventh Death Card awaits in the middle.
Effect: An exploding grenade will affect the health of enemies less.

8. Jack of Spades at Ring of Steel
There's a courtyard in the asylum where you'll want to be. Hang an a left, walk as far as you can and look around. The eighth card is nearby.
Effect: Only a head shot will kill an enemy. Where's that sniper rifle?

9. Ace of Spades at Eviction
Look for a large open area with arches and a staircase. Look around to the right for a big crater in the ground. Card number nine is inside.
Effect: Watch out for zombie enemies that you create.

10. Ten of Clubs at Blowtorch and Corkscrew
A 200mm gun will greet you and take some effort to dispose of. Upon its destruction, head down the path to the left and look for card number 10 in front of a stone wall around where the hanging corpse is.
Effect: Did your co-op teammate die? No problem. Shoot their corpse and they'll be back.

11. Three of Diamonds at Breaking Point
The third mortar is the charm. Once it is cleared, look for a small shack to right. Eliminate the guard and collect card number eleven.
Effect: Waxi three enemies in five seconds and be rewarded with invincibility armed only with a knife. Kind of like Rambo.

12. Six of Clubs at Heart of the Reich
Stairs are your friend. Hang an immediate left, then walk down the set of stairs behind a low wall to card number twelve waiting below.
Effect: Who needs bullets when you have paintballs instead?

13. Two of Spades at Downfall
A battle will ensue in a large open room. Clear the room then head up the stairs. Along the right wall is a door that has been breached. The final card rests inside.
Effect: Call this the "reality" cheat with friendly fire and death by loss of blood. Good luck!

OK... so everything actually WORKS... I never had any problem with CoD4 so I dunno why this is happening. when playing multiplayer (ie team deathmatch) when the game ends (either time runs our or goal is reached) the team score screen appears. but then it says ERROR SERVER CONNECTION HAS TIMED OUT. then when the post battle report shows, I get my xp but it doesn't record any of my kills/deaths/headshots ect ect. they're all zero. thankfully I get my xp but the server is not recording my kills/deaths ect. I still am getting kills in the challenges though, so it's just that screen but it's getting very annoying. Anyone else having an issue or a resolve for this problem? Also in the leaderboards I can see my overall kills/deaths so I don't think it's effecting my progress... just if that happens when I'm in a party the party is always disbanded causing us to always have to leave the lobby, make a party AGAIN, then find another game. waste of time and annoying. plz help! thanks!

It looks as if Microsoft is bringing down the hammer on Call of Duty World at War and Gears of War 2 pitate copies.

Quote:We’re getting reports that the Microsoft Ban Hammer has crashed down again, this time targeting Gears of War 2 and Call of Duty 5 pirates. Heres one quote from one angry forum user:

Full Story...

Also Major Nelson confirmes that Microsoft is banning Xbox users that have Modded thier Xbox 360 units.

Quote:I’ve gotten a few messages and seen some forum threads pop up on console bannings so I thought I’d post and let folks know what’s up. In our our continued effort to keep gameplay safe and secure for our community of more than 14 million members, Microsoft has taken action against a small percentage of Xbox 360 consoles that have been illegally modified in order to play pirated games. You should know that modifying your Xbox 360 console is also a violation of the Xbox LIVE terms of use, will void your warranty and result in a ban from Xbox LIVE. The health of the video game business depends on customers paying for the genuine products and services they receive, both from manufacturers and the local companies that support them. We will continue to employ and bolster anti-piracy security measures to counter piracy in the gaming industry and improve security in the Xbox LIVE community.

The Newest Edition of the Award-Winning Franchise Takes Players to the

Beaches of the Pacific and the Streets of Europe for

the Most Intense and Grittiest WWII Experience to Date

Santa Monica, CA – November 11, 2008 – Check your gear and get ready to move out to your nearest retailer on Veterans Day, as Activision Publishing, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) and developer Treyarch, have shipped Call of Duty: World at War to retail stores nationwide. Available now, Call of Duty: World at War takes players to a grittier WWII than ever before – from facing down Imperial Japanese Banzai charges and guerilla tactics in the Pacific – to exacting ruthless revenge as you beat back the enemy all the way to the steps of Berlin one bloody inch at a time. In addition to introducing franchise-first four-person cooperative gameplay, Call of Duty: World at War serves up a host of new enemies/tactics and a cache of weapons, like the flamethrower. The highly-anticipated title also delivers deep multiplayer action that features squad and vehicular combat, as well as a lush audio landscape set in 5.1 surround sound, accompanying cinematically-intense, high-definition graphics.

“Our goal from Day 1 has been to make sure that Call of Duty: World at War re-defines players’ expectations of World War II first-person action,” said Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia. “From cooperative gameplay to a multiplayer that combines vehicle and squad combat, along with a host of new weapons, settings and enemies, we’ve left no stone unturned to make this the best experience possible.”

For the first time in the franchise, Call of Duty: World at War introduces co-op, bringing fresh meaning to the “No One Fights Alone” mantra. Call of Duty: World at War co-op features up to four-players online, or two-player local split-screen, allowing gamers to experience harrowing single-player missions together for greater camaraderie and tactical execution. The title also incorporates traditional multiplayer components such as challenges, rankings and online stats into the co-op campaign for deeper re-playability and advanced gameplay.

Following the U.S. Marines in the Pacific campaign, Call of Duty: World at War shows a side of World War II never seen previously in the series. Players will experience swamps, beach invasions and tropical undergrowth against as they go head to head with one of the most brutal enemies of the war. The European campaign will feature uncompromising and vicious battles as the Red Army pushes into the heart of Berlin.

Multiplayer delivers squad-based interaction while expanding on the Party System feature with party privacy and match-making preferences. Combined infantry and vehicle missions add a new dimension to the online warfare. Players unlock a dozen new Perks while participating in epic battles ranging from massive wide open fields in the European theatre to the intimate courtyards of a Japanese castle.

Call of Duty: World at War is rated “M” (Mature) by the ESRB for Intense Violence, Strong Language, Blood and Gore and is available now on Xbox 360™ and PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system for a suggested retail price of $59.99 and the Windows® PC and the Nintendo® Wii™ for a suggested retail price of $49.99. Call of Duty: World at War is also available for the Nintendo DS™, developed by n-Space, the title is rated “T” (Teen) for Blood and Violence, with a suggested retail price of $29.99.

TeamXbox talks about Death Cards in Call of Duty World at War. You collect them and the unlock cheats in co-operative mode. Here is some what they had to say.

Quote:Playing through the single player campaign I had discovered a couple of the death cards peppered about the levels, thinking they were just some collectible. It wasn’t until we actually played some co-operative play that I realized what they were for. One of the Treyarch guys said: “so I’m going to turn on death cards for this one.” And I’m all, “turn on?” And then he’s all, “yeah, they activate specific cheats in the game.” Then I was like, “sweet.”

There are thirteen death cards in all, and the cheats they unlock can only be activated in co-operative mode. This makes a lot of sense because their effects range from making the game barely playable, to laughably weird to too awesome to be true. The cards are found throughout the single player, every time you find a fresh soldier’s grave marked by a rifle stuck in the ground and a helmet on top. These death cards are based in reality – soldiers have been leaving them on battlefields for some time now, mostly to indicate which specific battalion or platoon had been through an area. Just like Martin Sheen says in Apocalypse Now, a death card “lets Charlie know who did this.”
